God gives us believers in Christ a new name because we got born again in The Spirit!
When a physical newborn baby is born to their parents what must happen next? The babe must be given a name. And it’s usually the Father of that child that names the newborn.
Here’s the revelation of The Spirit that He told me. He told me “We are not who we used to be (John 1:12-13) (1 John 3:1-2) (1 John 5:1) (1 Peter 1:23) (2 Corinthians 5:17) (Titus 3:5) (2 Corinthians 3:18) (Galatians 4:1-6) (Romans 8:1-39) (Ephesians 2:4-10) so much so in fact that He says you need an entirely different name
because the person you used to be died on the cross with Christ, was buried with him and died!”
Hallelujah to Jesus. This is an incredible revelation from The Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20) (Romans 6:6) (Romans 8:36) (2 Corinthians 4:11) (Colossians 2:20) (2 Timothy 2:11)!
He went on telling me so since God is now our Father through the new birth in Christ, we are indeed the very children of God (1 John 3:1-2)! So, who is Christ? Christ is The Only Begotten Son of God,
and now who are we? We now are sons of God because of our faith in The Only Begotten Son of God. Now we are in the family of God forever and are seated in Christ with Him in heavenly places (John 1:12) (John 8:35-36) (Romans 8:29) (Ephesians 2:19-22) (1 Peter 2:4-8) (Galatians 4:1-6) (Ephesians 2:4-10)!
Now since God is The Father and we are his child who is now in the family of God forever He must now name us! And only The Father can name you!
